Human Trafficking
Having witnessed first-hand the horrific realities of human trafficking during my 30-year law enforcement career, I will enact bipartisan policies stopping criminal organizations from exploiting the innocent and vulnerable. I will do everything in my power to bolster efforts to apprehend those responsible for such atrocities in our country.Drug Trafficking
After decades policing narcotics cases and seeing the devastating effects of drugs on our communities, I understand the deadly threat that fentanyl poses to Americans better than most. I believe that, together, we can overcome the epidemic of illegal importation that we’re currently seeing in the U.S.
Immigration Reform
We should facilitate clear processes for immigrants utilizing lawful channels toward citizenship, while securing borders from exploitation with strategic infrastructure. I would expedite citizenship for those who respect and abide by our laws, regarding the citizenship process.
Veterans & First Responders
We must expand support for veterans and first responders. Those who serve this country should be entitled to not just our support, but special programs, such as the elimination of property taxes, especially for families whose loved ones have paid the ultimate price in service of their country.
Public Safety Initiatives
I’ve come up with a safe schools act that would encourage school districts in Texas to have armed security or law-enforcement on campuses to provide a first line of defense against people that would harm our school-age children.
Second Amendment Rights
It is not the law-abiding gun owners among our citizenry who are committing mass shootings. It is the criminals and the mentally ill. Loopholes that allow those who shouldn’t possess firearms, and other weapons must be closed, while preserving the American People’s right to keep and bear arms.
